Race
By greg mcglinn | Published  01/30/2007
Well I did my first race of the season last Sunday and got a good result 3rd place in a field sprint .I took my Power Cranks off the day before and did a light spin and I noticed right away that I was really ripping the cranks around on the back side of my pedal stroke like I have never done before. At the start of the Crit the following day my legs were really fatigued in my warm up and I debated even starting but despite the fatigue I was able to stay in the race and ride with a much higher cadence then I am used to racing or riding at my avg cadence for the race was 104 .When it came down to the sprint for the line I jumped first and had the lead up until about 25 meters to go but I did not have the kick I normally have and I know that is due to the training I have been doing on the Power Cranks ,so I am excited to see how well I will do in the future when I finish my training on these and recover properly before a race .
