Hi, I am a level 2 USAC coach who has ridden now for six years. I first started riding to have a common hobby with my brother when I would visit him in California. I have usually been more athletic than him in most regards, but cycling has brought new challenges into the picture as it requires different abilities than most high profile sports. I decided to buy a pair of powercranks to try to train smarter and more efficiently so I can keep up with him on the hills....

Hills 2
By Jamie Wong | Published  05/6/2008
Perhaps today wasn't the best day to do hills as I was still feeling some aches from the previous day's workout. As the limiting factor for training is the weather at this point, I still opted to go do hills and would put off rest for another day of rain which is forseen later in the week. As they are to non-hill climbers, hills are painful and slow. I still managed to get in 6 reps and put out a new CP5' high of 289W or so. I can't tell how reliable it is (the number) since the powertap has been acting weird as of late. I should send it in to get fixed, but then I'll have no wheel to ride.....
