Dezmin Wilder
Everyone calls me Dez, I live and work in Sacramento, CA and I'm currently racing xc mountain bikes in the semi-pro class. I focus on the longer distance events such as 12 and 24 hour events and generally ride a single speed. I am turning 21 this year and have only been racing for two seasons, but I'm in love with cycling and hope to one day ride bikes for a living. I am currently racing for the Cannondale/Bear Naked mountain bike team and I'm having a blast with it!

24 hour race tomorrow
My first solo 24 hour event of the season starts in about 13 hours and I'm starting to get nervous. I know that I'm going to be going through some very tough times this weekend and it gets harder every time to go out knowing exactly what to expect and put my body through that sort of punishment.
Still no word on my stolen bike(PCs attached), so it's been about a month now since I have ridden PCs and this fact is adding to my nerves. I planned to use the cranks pretty extensively to build up for these longer events and though I certainly trained extensively on the cranks while I had them, I fear that it's been too long now for me to benifit from my PC training.
Hopefully I can gather the money to purchase a new set before too much longer, I miss them so much!
