A most unwelcome injury
Injuries are never planned for and yet seem to show up when you need them the least. Training for the ironman distance triathlon in Roth, July 13th, I was planning to log some big running weeks at the moment, but unfortunately that is not to be. My sciatic nerve/piriformis is numbing my left leg and affecting my walking stride and making running impossible. I've tried to figure out what caused the problem and most likely it's a combination of increased running while picking up PowerCranking again, as that puts some accumulated stress on the hip region. I gradually got tighter and tighter around the hip flexors and glutes and finally it all locked up. I'm trying to stretch the involved muscles and focusing on swimming an fixed cranked cycling instead. Hopefully that'll solve the problem and I can return to running an PowerCranking again soon, stay healthy, Claus bech
