Power increasing
By Angela Naeth | Published  04/19/2008
I am certain that no one has done the FIG in Solvang California on Powercranks.  I did that yesterday.  The Fig is a local climb here that is 9% grade for 9 miles.  When I first got here I wanted to say I was able to ride the whole thing on Powercranks. Yesterday, I finally made it.  It took 1hr20min.  All this tough riding is a killer on the flexors but is going to help in gaining that extra watt on race day.    My coach and I are already seeing the gains with our repeated tests.  Since two weeks ago, for 1 hour at a sustained HR (higher end aerobic) my wattage has increased 10 watts!
