Well I have decided to take my chances with Chuckie V. and stay training one-one with him until late August. When he was racing he was a big proponent f powercranks and actually was the one who told me to get a pair.  Since my start, I have noticed three things:
1.  My cadence has become smoother and faster
2. I no longer have a slip stream in my power stroke - as per Chuckie's great eye.
3.  I am becoming more powerful - as seen and tested by Chuckie. I would post these numbers but they are a work in progress.

I am using the powercranks more of a maintenance 1xweek program right now while in Solvang. They are a great adjunct to a rest day or a day after hill climbing. The whole goal is to get a high cadence and work on this as much as possible. This is tough.  Hopefully all the work pays off.
