Feeling it
By greg mcglinn | Published  01/10/2007
I beleive I stated That I was starting to make progress in my last entry, well since then I have been trying to do some of the workouts that I have written in and set in my training program .Yesterday I went out and had my wife motorpacing me on a 12 mile strectch at between 38 and 45 mph normally I would do this for a set of three however yesterday I did not finish 8 miles before I had to stop .The fatigue in my legs is incredible as soon as I get on the bike you can feel the muscles that you are not used to using say not this again .Although I cant do as many reps of the intended workouts and not at the same speed or duration I am going to continue doing my training plan the same way because the fatigue is so much greater then when I was doing the regular reps that it has to be good if you recover properly.I also discovered for me if I take one complete day off and then follow it up with about 45 minutes of as easy as you can make it spinning I have been responding pretty good the rest of the week.
