interval session
By Peter Bech | Published  01/8/2008
A few days ago I had my first interval session on the PC`s. Normally I split my lactic threshold work up in 3x10 or 3x15 minutes, but for two reasons I set my ambitions a little lower. 1) I haven´t done enough base training to do 45 minutes of LT. 2) I want to make sure that the first intensity ride on PC´s will be one that I can handle.
The session was 4x5 minutes at lactic threshold with a cadence 85 rpm. I found it easy to get the legs spinning and I didnt have to concentrate to keep good smooth rhythm. Actually I find it harder to pedal with low resistance. I´m having a hard time doing a recovery ride on the PC´s.

I´m telling myself that I ´m starting to feel a difference in my running strides. A good thing is to warm up on the PC´s for 10-15 minutes and then do a run right after. My problem is that I want to push the pace after the bike warm up. Even if it was supposed to be an easy run. What the heck. It all counts in the end.........
