A logic surrender to common sense
By Claus Bech | Published  01/7/2008
Though I was pretty determined to try and do all of my training on the PC, over here in Tucson, I must admit that I had to surrender to burned out hip flexors and sound logic.
Considering myself a triathlete and having all day to train, training can become a bit obsessive at times...
As I don´t have access to a pool for the moment, all my workouts are stressing my lower body and especially the hip flexors has shown up as a pivotal point (surprise!). I don´t wanna cut down on volume and frequency, but I will get better at mixing riding in PC- and Lock Out mode, to lessen the stress a bit.
I will have to find out what works best for me: alternating days or alternating within the rides.
I still believe there´s a lot of benefit to had from the PC-training, I just gotta figure out how to integrate into high volume multisport training.
See you out there, Claus
