strenght session
By Marco Pinotti | Published  12/17/2007
In this period I've planned to train twice per week on the Powercranks on the road, the day that follows the gym session.
The training session is about 2 hrs with tempo at the beginning (3x10') and strenght: 4 to 6 x 4' climbing at low cadence 50 rpm
this is the report of yesterday's training, the first one of the planned session:
it was very cold (never more than 2°C)
40' minutes warm up with 15' tempo slighly uphill and a cadence averaging 85
5x4' of strenght work-out climbing at 55 rpm (the gear has been lower than the same work-out performed with normal crank, probably because I still need time to let the hip adapt to the load), recovery 3'
45' minutes at easier pace, with the final 20' struggling to keep a decent pace and with some rest
The following day on the normal bike the feeling is already good and it's easy for me to resume high cadence.
