Powercranks indoor - a tough session
By Angela Naeth | Published  11/30/2007
Yesterday was my first day using the powercranks on a stationary trainer indoor to a movie. I could have probably ventured outside but ended up going on the bike a bit later than expected and there was no more sun!  To say the least, this session of 1-hour was TOUGH!

Previously I was riding the cranks outside and managed the hour easily.  Indoor, however is another story.  I guess it has to do with the realization that you are just sitting on a bike indoor when you want to have a rest.  You don't get to still move and THINK you are going somewhere with your own power.  I managed to get myself to spin for 5-10min and then I would stand up for a few seconds with no spinning to have a break.  It was weird though. The hip flexors were not building to a big load of lactic acid, but rather they felt like they were SLOWLY decreasing their loss of strength.  I am using them this weekend again...hopefully outside!
