1st trial on the powercranks!
By Angela Naeth | Published  11/24/2007
I am happy to say I am a new owner of set of Powercranks! Two days ago was my first time using them and let me tell you - these are a great investment! Right away I could feel the hip flexors working more than they have ever while situated on a bike. I definetely will be able to notice the transfer I think to running as well.

When I first got on my bike (cyclocross one for now - I may put them on my road bike later), I had no idea how to start pedalling. It was like I had to learn all over again. I quickly decided to coast down the hill I live on so that I could get on some flat roads to start.  At first, I couldn't get the pedals equal but after a few minutes of struggle I managed to get them in tune.   It was a bit tough - but I went for a full hour on the cranks.  I gave myself a bit of a break here and there - for the hip flexors to stop firing!  I surprised myself I think.  - I know my cadence was VERY slow. If I tried to go at a faster pace - I think I would have been doomed from the start.

Today I am opting to try them indoor.  I am sure this may be more of a difficult task than I realize!  I do know though - with how my hip flexors were feeling - these are going to help me train for REAL!
