Keep on trying!
By Peter Bech | Published  11/22/2007
My debut on the powercranks was not as bad as I had feared. Everything I had read and heard about the cranks about hip flexors cramping after one minute and so on didn`t really happen. I think that my mountainbiking background has already prepared my legs for that smooth round pedalling style. On my first ride I was able to complete 15 minutes devided into 2 and 3 minute intervals.

A good advice to beginners on the cranks: 1) put the bike on the trainer the first couple of rides, 2) pedal at low rpm`s(60-70), and focus on rhytm. Say it loud: "left, right, left, right"  3) accept only being able to do a few minutes the first couple of rides, 4) get off the bike in time before bad tecnique occurs, 5) keep on trying...!
