Baseball - General
PowerCranks can help the baseball player in many ways. PowerCranks will be most useful in developing core strength, balance, and running speed in the healthy and, of course, as a rehab tool for the injured. Used by major league baseball teams, including the New York Yankees, and major professional athlete rehabilitation centers like Athletes Performance (Mark Verstegan) and Fischer Sports Therapy and Conditioning (Brett Fischer).
There are 4 key areas that PowerCranks are useful.
1. PowerCranks make sure the athlete is mechanically balanced and has good coordination to help prevent injuries.
2. PowerCranks can better strengthen and coordinate the core that can help with hitting coordination and strength.
3. PowerCranks can better strengthen and coordinate the core that can help with pitching and throwing strength and endurance.
4. PowerCranks can help one to run faster, and achieve better agility to help you catch balls that are currently just out of reach or to help you get to first faster, to turn an out into a hit, or to help you steal bases.
We discuss each of these in a little more detail in separate areas linked to above.
